Tuesday, February 10, 2009: In these times of deep personal crisis, I turn once again to Jane Austen. I adored her books when I was a teenager in San Francisco and now they have become something good and great to hold on to amidst the uncertainty of my life. Jane Austen speaks to me like no author ever did or could. Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion, Emma and Mansfield Park are novels that I re read and reread.
