The Street

The Street There she is again, with her red cart, and her small cat. There she goes, one more woman, with no roof, no place to eat or cook a meal. There is nowhere to take a shower. The cat wants out of her cage. The cart pusher smiles to herself. The woman wanted out too but this was not the way she pictured leaving the situation she found herself in. No, this is clearly a nightmare. The sun does not shine for her anymore. The days are things, just things with hours and minutes and seconds to try to forget.
